Metreon

A shopping mall in the middle of downtown San Francisco. A hipper-than-thou techno shopping mall, but still a shopping mall. The owner, Sony, doesn't have a clue about how to run a shopping mall and it is losing money bigtime. It's not all that big as malls go, but has movies and an IMAX theater. By the way, that 14 Mission bus goes out to the land of taquerias, little shops and other wonders of the Mission District. The outbound stop is diagonal from Metreon, directly across from Mels. The Mission, neighborhood or bus line, is not exactly the most safe place in the city and if you are out late you are apt to see some less-than-savory activities. The 14 bus is one of the few with 24 hour service.
